Just finished reading this book, The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. I love his books! (: So far this is only the second book of his which i have read, but i really liked both the books (: His way of writing is so soothing, and his prose is so descriptive that i feel like every scene is being presented to me in a flow of events. (: Awesome!
The Wedding is about a man who, having placed his career as his top priority, found that his wife of 30 years has fallen out of love with him. I can completely imagine the hurt he inflicted on his wife over those three decades - not being present to help with the family, forgetting wedding anniversaries, etc. Being as idealistic as i am (well, i’m actually proud of that - isn’t it nice to think of the world as a beautiful place? (: ), i hope that the guy whom I marry in the future will be much better than that ;D Anyway, when his daughter announces her upcoming wedding, the man decides to do everything that he can do to save his marriage. He vows to find a way to make his wife fall in love with him…all over again. ♥
A beautiful and touching story is unraveled (: Fans of The Notebook, this book is for you! (:
