Now, what kind of name is that for a food joint? it's mandarin for 'remember to eat' O.O how funny. but this place serves up a wonderful array of affordable chinese desserts! as well as other food i think, but i didn't try those
there was an entire menu dedicated to desserts! i had a hard time choosing one xD yi picked the mango passion fruit snowy ice ($5) which was a gorgeous mountain of shaved ice with mangoes, mango syrup and nata de coco. it tasted lovely - rich and sweet, but paired with the lightness of the shaved ice, it was just nice.
another similar dessert we tried was the green tea version ($5). again, i loved the lightness of this - feels healthy? but it does make it just slightly bit unsatisfying somehow. there were little japanese glutinous rice balls (they're just so tiny & cute!) and nata de coco that came with this. and look at that oozy green tea sauce on it! yummmm! the only thing i didn't really like was that it had a rather bitter aftertaste (more so than normal green tea stuff), which was not very pleasant.
my steamed milk egg white with hashima ($5.50) was lovely (: smooth and slippery, i loved the feeling of it sliding down my throat xD and hashima is supposed to be good for skin :D
mummy's ginger version ($4) was not as nice though. i've definitely tried better versions elsewhere. this had a VERY strong ginger taste & smell which i didn't like. it was really spicy! O.O maybe they used old ginger. but i prefer the milder version which i find is much more palatable.
i'll be back to try out the oh-nee and other desserts sometime! xD afterall, it's so near school ;)
