Ortho-k

I love my ortho-k contact lenses. I've been wearing them for 3 years now!

Imagine not having to wear contact lenses in the daytime, but have perfect eyesight? You can achieve that with ortho-k, otherwise known as night lenses. I wear these to sleep at night, i think the recommended amount of time is about 8hours(?) and in the daytime i can take them out and go around with (near) perfect eyesight.

I don't even have to wear them every night if perfect eyesight is not necessary! i've gone for 3 nights not wearing my contact lenses (when i went for ASOC camp) and i've still managed to blunder around pretty safely :p i guess it's also because i'm used to being 'half-blind' nowadays. as in, i don't really require perfect eyesight to survive. haha. i haven't worn my spectacles for this entire time, and i can no longer wear spectacles (that is, if i can even find it because i have no idea where they are). they feel weird on my face. and anyway, i look awfully weird with them. the HORROR :P haha.

i would recommend ortho-k to those who don't mind wearing hard lenses (yeah, unfortunately no soft lenses) and would like the convenience of not wearing contact lenses during the day. they're slightly more expensive than the normal contact lenses, but they can last for a pretty long time, so they're a pretty good investment! :D
for more information, you can check out this website http://www.orthoklenses.com/. I'm NOT doing an advertorial by the way. just sharing my experience (:

if you want to know more about it, feel free to comment and ask me! and if you want to know where i made my lenses, it's at mee mee optics.
