Man Ting Siang

so i just got back from malaysia which is seriously a place to get fat, as far as mummy is concerned :p the whole day consists of eating, eating and more eating! i feel like a pig :/ ugh i need to exercise!!!! anyway, there are so many places with good food in malacca (which is where we went) but i'll just have to sift through the whole lot bit by bit.

the highlight of this shop, in my opinion, should definitely be their DA BAO! the da bao in singapore can somehow never ever measure up to those i've found in malaysia. just cut open the bun, and the lovely dark sauce oozes out. there is just so much sauce! and i'll always use the bun to mop up every bit of it (: the meat inside is nice and succulent and the egg adds a lovely finishing touch to it :D the only gripe i have is that the flour is slightly thick, when there could have been a more generous amount of ingredients inside. but it's only a small matter which can be overlooked given how awesome the bun is! :D actually there is another place with even better buns, with less flour and more ingredients, but that place is really really popular and sells out by around 9am i think. if i have the chance to go there the next time, i'll review it then! (:

the char siew bao is lovely as well - rarely do you find such huge buns xD and the filling is generous too!

there were other dim sum dishes as well, but they weren't fantastic. the BAOs were the main attraction for me :D haha
