Aglio Olio

Wow, a restaurant called aglio olio? but i didnt order aglio olio there haha. i liked my main course though! and michelle ordered the aglio olio - there were quite a lot of different kinds to try! :)

okay, start off with the aglio olio first, since that should be their signature! michelle ordered the chicken olio ($13.90), and you get to choose from four levels of spiciness - mild, normal, spicy and extra spicy. we thought the spicy one should be not bad, so that's what michelle got! and boy, it was REALLY quite spicy! hahaha. should have ordered the normal i think. there were so many chili padis in her pasta! :O i wonder how she survived it.

I ordered the pan fried dory with pesto ($12.90). it was a pretty generous serving with a salad and lots of fries on the side and a slice of garlic bread. yummy! :) and it came with garlic chili :D :D lovessss. the dory was nicely fried and easy to cut, and the sauce complemented it nicely. gahh, unhealthy week though :( the pesto was so creamy! as in, it tasted good, but i felt so sinful >.< good thing i had the salad to balance it out. haha the garlic bread was so puny though :P

ngan ordered the teriyaki chicken chop ($12.90) which also came with the same sides as mine. the sauce somehow tasted a little different from the typical teriyaki sauce?? but it was pretty good as well.

and we got a free plate of chicken wings! ^^ hehe. this was pretty funny. cos this place has a promo for every day of the week, and at first we saw that there was a promo for free chicken wings! but it was only applicable for monday, while we were there on a thursday (the promo that day is lousy), so we were kinda disappointed. but aglio olio as a stamp system, where for every $5 you spend (i think), you'll get a stamp! and a few stamps entitle you to a plate of free chicken wings! so we decided to redeem it on the spot ;) haha. it went really well with the garlic chili! ;)

and the staff there were quite nice :) although they kept staring at us, i think cos we were sitting in there for so long. but they didnt try to chase us out or anything (at least not so obviously), and obliged when we wanted to get our chicken wings, although it was pretty late already. and they helped us prepare michelle's bday cake too :) maybe i'll come back for the aglio olio another day ;)
