oh gosh! i realised i haven't done a post on baked by lace?! how scandalous. hahaha just kidding. i mean, how could i not have?! she has the most gorgeous and delicious tasting cupcakes EVER. no kidding.
that day when i happened to see that lace had a bake sale coming up in school, i was sooo excited! the first time i ate her cupcakes were at the gourmet club potluck, and then at arts camp during our awesome picnic. this time, i had to pay. haha :P but it was so so worth it! :D $3 per cupcake. for a cupcake so lovingly painstakingly baked - lace has experimented with her recipes for a long time now, and i think she has really got it!!!! each cupcake is a good balance between fluffy and dense, and is moist, even after i kept it for a day. they're meant to be kept at room temperature and can last for 3 days. i stupidly forgot to put it somewhere where ants could reach it :( and it got attacked!!!!! but i really couldnt bear to waste it, so i just flicked off all the ants and ate it anyway. yeah sounds gross i know. but it was still so yummy!!!
when lace said that there was gonna be a surprise flavour during the bake sale, i really didnt know what to expect. and i was SOOO excited to see this gorgeous ispahan cupcake - inspired by pierre herme, it is a trilogy of flavours made famous by the maestro as quoted from lace: raspberry, lychee & rose. ohmygosh. where should i even start?! the subtle aroma of the rose wafted towards me as i lifted the cupcake to my lips. the soft cream on top with the mixture of flavours and delicate pearls sent me into cupcake heaven as i licked it off the top of the cupcake. it was really really good.
devil's food too was delicious! :D simply sinful, just eat it. don't think already. cuz it's totally worth your calories :D
