so in love with this soundtrack! :)))) i was really surprised to find that i enjoyed this movie so much! i actually went into the cinema not knowing what it was about at all. but i truly enjoyed it (: not only were the songs nice, but i really liked the storyline! reminds me of how much i loved disney shows as a kid :') i really watched almost all (okay, a large majority) of the disney shows that came out in cinemas. used to watch them over and over again on those CDs, or tapes (haha gosh that was so long ago) because i loved them so much!
always a princess at heart ;) i love all these happy endings! this story was really quite touching, and even though it wasn't as 'colourful' as its predecessor, Tangled, but it was no less majestic with its beautiful icy colours! anw i think it's gonna stop showing in cinemas really soon, so go catch it if you can k! i heard so many mixed reviews about paris before going there, and i wasn't really sure whether i would like it, even though i've always been sooo fascinated about anything related to the eiffel tower or french in general ^^ i just think the french have this ability of being so effortlessly chic, which is simply amazing (: and everything french just exudes the luxe factor ;)
and i'm so glad to say that i really liked paris when i was there!!!! :') i guess it was kind of a blessing that i was there only for one day, which just gave me the feeling of longing when i left the place. going around in a tour bus was kind of a disappointment because we rushed through so many places, but it also meant that we skipped all the dirty sides of paris, which i'd rather not see (haha #livingindenialttm).

we took the lift up to the second level! to have a view of paris (: haha tbh it wasn't fantastic :p paris is in a really boring colour! all white! i think the feeling that i was on the eiffel tower was the most exciting part :p lol.
sleepy faces in the morning because we had to wake up at 4.30am to catch the eurostar from london xP faints....haha but on a side note, the eurostar trains are AWESOME-ly comfy.
we took a cruise on the River Seine! (: so many places i wish i could have visited on the way, such as the Notre Dame! but of course we didn't have the luxury of time.
super duper excited when i saw the louvre!!!!! :D or rather, when i saw this glass pyramid haha. i've seen so many wedding photos taken in front of this thing, which are soooo absolutely gorgeous :D :D but i really wondered how they ever manage to clear the crowds to take their photos?? there were so many people there! maybe have to cordon off the whole area or something haha. the mona lisa was super lame though :p we really went all the way in just to instagram a photo of it and say 'we were there' :P haha and there were so many people inside the louvre, we didn't bother to explore the rest of it.
because the exterior of the louvre was so much more enticing!!!! :') just looking at this garden and i wished i could have spent a whole afternoon just walking in there and enjoying the sun :)) i have no idea what garden this is, but i really want to visit Versailles and Montmarte the next time i come to paris!!!!!
and probably my happiest time in paris was walking along the river seine to pont des arts ^^ we spotted the bridge while we were on the cruise in the morning and totally squealed!!! :P omgggg i'm so glad i finally saw this :') beautiful love locks bridge :))))) i was there!!!! i can't believe it!!!! i just relished in the feeling of walking along the river, wind in my hair, breathing in the parisian air :') i could do this over and over again :))

while doing my horrible 6000 word essay and getting so sick and tired of it (I FINISHED IT BTW!!!! *pop the champagne!*), sam got me hooked on youtube videos hehe. previously i'd only usually listened to sam tsui, but he introduced me to this other singer - alex goot! omg and i totally got addicted. maybe partly cos i was so bored but i've been listening to his covers for the past week and i'm lovin them ^^
he does quite a lot of collaborations with other youtube singers which introduced me to them as well and i've been hopping all over the website listening to their songs.

the best part!!! from one of his collabs, i found a link to this other youtube page called ThePianoGuys and omg I LOVE THEIR COVER OF TITANIUM/PAVANE. it's so good!!!! (: i think Vocalise has totally gotten me interested in this whole classical-mixed-rock/pop kind of thing, and this combination is awesome ^^ loveeee it.
i watched les miserables on friday night at 10.15pm and after that i couldn't sleep in peace haha. it was such an intense show omg. to the point of being slightly freaky. but it was amazing anyway. it was chilling, so deep and probably one of the most difficult to understand movies i've watched this year. thank goodness i read the synopsis right before the movie if not i'm pretty sure i would have been lost. some parts were slightly boring and many of the songs freaked me out (especially the first song omg) but WATCH IT. some of my friends said it was better than the original musical, which means it was really good. the acting was simply amazing, all the actors were so into their characters!
especially anne hathaway :O #1. i didnt know she could sing so well #2. her rendition of i dreamed a dream was just breath-takingly, shell-shockingly amazingly good, and when you watch her sing it in the movie it's like she poured her entire emotions into the song and it was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.

just wanted to share my newest favourite song with all of you. haha it's quite an emo song. but this song really came at a time when i really felt like i could identify with it. and i completely fell in love with it.
i used to love chinese songs a lot more because i always felt that they are so much more meaningful. but i've come to realise that english songs do have that ability to speak a thousand words in each verse and it's just so amazing :") it's always such a joy to find nice songs that i can identify with!

hello! :) short post here haha. just got too bored of studying already. one more to go on monday! and i've got so many things i wanna (or need to) do after that. and i've only got one week before internship starts! (if i get it...*crossfingers*).
anyway, i've been pretty much slacking the day away, feels like finals are over already haha. and i happened to chance upon videos of Lindsey Stirling on youtube! she's super cool! haha maybe i'm inspired by VOX, the pop/rock string quartet by the company i work at. check them out, they're super cool too, and they're singaporean! :) haha i'm not trying to promote them or anything alright, but really, where do you find any other pop/rock string quartet group in Singapore! they're the first ;) seems like it's not something new in the US though!

i found this youtube track of 4 hours worth of disney songs! :) really random right. yes i'm 21 years old but i still love disney. haha but it's so nostalgic listening to all these songs. i grew up watching disney fairytales and all the other shows :)) because i was so deprived and didnt have kids central or cable tv haha. simply listening to these songs makes me so happy! no wonder disneyland is called the happiest place on earth :)

this semester has been one crazy mess. i really can't figure out why there just seems to be a never-ending stream of things to do, even though i've already cut down on so many things :/ i'm not even going for ballare anymore, and my dance class is reduced to a completely unpredictable frequency. i miss dance!! :( and even without it, i still am so busy. maybe it's cos the modules this sem are just more difficult and require a lot more studying. and the fact that i'm flying away from all this next semester (*squeaaaaals!!*) isnt helping :P can't wait for this to be over! :)

anw, in the midst of all this, i'm glad that i finally had the chance to spend time with my two most important bunch of friends in SMU :') i love having birthdays that are spread out over the span of the year - sometimes when everyone is busy, birthdays are the best time to force people to get out and meet up ^^
celebrated liying's 21st with a whole day of activities from lunch :) havent seen the hopers in like, forever. it was so fun going around doing all the silly things like taking 21 awkward poses, bringing her for a manicure, making her birthday cake and a fish spa. and awwwww so sweet of her bf to help plan so many things to make her 21st such a special one! :)
yay successful surprise by the girls for rachel's 21st! :) hehe so happy that it was a total success - rach totally got a shock when we jumped out at her once she stepped into the room :P hee. and glad she liked the cake!! a total impromptu purchase, cos i didnt know where to get one that was near school. and they didnt have candles! -.- but apparently it was a yummy cake :D

and of course the most important birthday of all :))))))) hee can't stop smiling to myself thinking of how well the day turned out \o/ :D it was one of the longest times i'd gone without seeing my darling boy! :( sigh now with project crunch time, it sucks big time :( can't wait for this semester to be over!!! anyway, super glad that he enjoyed his birthday celebration that i'd planned for him :) went for a massage cos he's forever aching all over the place. when he said it was the first time that week that he'd spent two entire hours not thinking of work, i was like 'YESSSSS!' haha. such a workaholic :P then we went over to shangri-la rose veranda cafe for high tea :) which was another relaxing few hours. totally the atas life, sipping tea, going for rounds and rounds of food :P hehe totally getting fat now. but it was goooood. my buffet stamina has significantly decreased though :P or so i try to tell myself. well, the last buffet i had was really quite long ago! i honestly can't remember when..hmm. thinking of the days when my family used to go for buffets almost every other week...(THE HORROR!!! :O). and the best part was the surprise cake! ^^ shangri-la is wonderful! their service is so good, to the extent that they ASKED, without me having to mention, whether i was celebrating anything on the day i was there. well, the thing was before our turn, there were like 4 other 'happy birthdays' already -.- haha, but the good thing is that sam totally didnt expect it anyway so he got a huge surprise! :D yayyy! sweet success ;) seeing him so happy, i was really really glad that i could do something like this for him especially after the hell week he'd been through. well, he still has at least one more hell week to go (poor thing :( ) but i hope our sweet date helped, even just a little :) the cake was super yummy btw!! the nicest mousse cake i've ever eaten. but after that we had absolutely no room for desserts :P which was sort of a pity since they looked awesome!! but it was a perfect day <3<3<3

an alternative to kbox! i'm still kinda pissed after all these years how kbox cheated me by making me buy their membership card -.- such a waste of money. cos their normal price was like $21++ or something, which was more expensive than buying the card (which was $8) and getting the student deal ($10) together. and so, both my friend and i purchased the card. which i've never used since then. and it was...3 years ago i think? ridiculous. ugh.
and while teo heng used to be situated in the ulu (hehe :P) east at Katong Mall or west at NTU Alumni Club, it has since moved to Sembawang Shopping Centre as well! which is so much more convenient for me :D wheeeeee!
the good thing about teo heng is that they charge per room, instead of per person. so its definitely more affordable! we booked a medium sized room for the five of us for 3hrs, and it was like, $30?! :O nett! which works out to be a mere $6 per person! lols. how good is that?! but the medium room was slightly small though. i really wonder how SMALL is the small room then O.O the last time when i booked the large room, it was much more spacious and comfy, and wasn't that much more expensive too! (:

this song is so meaningful :) it's a christian song i think. and although i'm not one, i really have to say that i like the songs a lot :) the lyrics really speak to you. and makes you appreciate the little things in life. although life may seem cruel sometimes, but it's all for a reason.
the show is so gross though!!!! O.O omg like seriously. when my friends told me it was gross, i didnt think it was gross in this way O.O ewww. but the story behind it is nice i guess! :) as my friend said, it's about life and love which most of us can identify with. supposedly it's quite a guy-ish show? but i think not just guys can identify with it. i guess the whole point is how guys and girls can't seem to understand each other -.- it was sooo wasted at the end when they couldnt end up together :'( just because he didnt know she liked him back. somehow, it's just so difficult. when you meet the one you like you can't express it properly, and they never know. and when someone likes you but you dont like them, then errr, haha i also dunno what to say. all depends on fate i guess.
