Riders Cafe

Breakfast with a view of horses trotting by. Doesn’t that sound just perfect for a leisurely morning meal? (:
I came across this cosy cafĂ© when I was searching for breakfast places for Mothers’ Day a month ago. Unfortunately, I was too late in making a reservation then, and we were unable to secure a place for breakfast ): Sorry mummy! Instead, fast forward to one month later, we had our Fathers’ Day breakfast here instead! (:
Just a sneak peak of what we ordered for drinks first. (:
1. Brewed coffee with a cute little biscuit by the side – it was only half-filled though, which did not look too appealing :/
2. Cold chocolate – the picture doesn’t look so nice, but it looked so delicious I initially regretted ordering hot chocolate
3. Hot chocolate – when my drink came, I took back my words (: frothy and yummy with marshmallows on top!
4. Macchiato – mummy ordered it without knowing what it was, just to try. We burst out laughing when we saw it because it was such a tiny cup! But it was strong and packed a punch, so it hit the spot just nicely (:
On to the dishes! Ooh, all the items were so delicious!!

First, I must show off my eggs benedict ($12). My first time trying it! It was wonderful! (: The poached egg on top was wobbly and runny, ooh YUMYUM! The ham and muffin were so tasty, I could eat them on their own! And the hollandaise sauce just topped it off just nicely. The breakfast potatoes that came with almost every breakfast dish were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and looked so cute! I couldn’t resist eating them, even know I initially wanted to give them away.

Look at that. Three perfectly fluffy, soft pancakes ($10), topped with blueberry compote, whipped cream and butter, with a cup of deliciously sweet maple syrup to go along. Who can say no to this?? (: I just ate a third of that pancake and went to pancake heaven. *swoons* :D

The Riders Breakfast ($13) was a value-for-money set of a bunch of goodies. Brown toast with butter, potatoes, baked beans, two eggs (done the way you like: scrambled, sunny-side up, omelette) and your choice of sausages, ham or bacon. Chose one!
A relaxing breakfast with an ambience (: An enjoyable meal, but some patience is required as the service was rather slow. Just remember, RELAX (:
