NYDC (again!)

Yes, I know i've got a post on NYDC before...but that was about desserts only! This time, i went there for dinner (: Whee! I was starving by the time i went there, so i loved my food. And as usual, we couldn't resist desserts, so we ordered some new desserts which we didn't eat the last time we were there.

I need a better camera!!!!! :( somehow my pictures all look rather sad >.< any recommendations? i need a camera which produces BRIGHT, VIBRANT coloured photos. now i have to keep editing it in picasa, if not the colours are awfully muted :/

my mushroom ham baked rice ($11.50) was AWESOME, seriously. i think it was the best out of all the main courses we ordered xD lightly flavoured rice (tastes vaguely like chicken rice), topped with garlic sauce (which was really really good) with sauteed mushrooms, ham and an oozy layer of cheese on top. absolutely wonderful. of course i could not finish it, but i nearly made it to the end! it was soooo tasty, i didn't want to put down my spoon. but i had to save space for dessert, didn't i?! (:

Zhen's beef lagsana ($14.50) looked and smelled wonderful. taste wise, was slightly disappointing, probably cos of it's great first impression. but it was nice, nevertheless! (:

i probably would not order the aglio olio ($12.95) if i were given the choice because of the capsicum :/ for some reason, i haven't been seeing nice versions of aglio olio for a long long time! ): the one in koufu SUCKS ttm, totally infused with nothing but black pepper which is really terrible. another time, i ate a version which was slightly better, it was not bad i guess, herb-y with stuff like basil, etc. but not exactly what i was looking for... >.< i'm craving for normal olive oil, garlic aglio olio!!!!

the meatball spaghetti was nice too!!!!!! but i didnt manage to get a photo of it >.< the meatballs are a mix of beef and pork if i'm not wrong, and they were really tasty! even though i was so full, i could still appreciate them (:

for dessert, we had the goldmine cheesecake ($6.95)! an oreo base, with a lovely cheesey middle and a layer of chocolate fudge on top (: (: loveeee!

the boo boo ($5.95) cake (funny name right!!!) was chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! i have no other way to describe it, it's just pure chocolate delight, with spongy chocolate layers, interlaced with chocolate fudge and a topping of chocolate as well. haha.
