ooh marina bay link mall is a really fun place to be at!! just think, its RIGHT BELOW the marina bay sands area which is totally my happy place :)) haha i dunno why either. i just feel SUPER duper happy whenever i see that whole spacious area :) ahh :) so niceeee. happy happy :)
haha anyways, there are quite a few food places there which i've been wanting to check out! finally went there to eat :) after going to the regular places around school all the time, like somerset, dhoby gaut, city hall (omg a million times already...), we finally ventured a little further to raffles place! :) and there are so many hidden gems there, it's such a pity to not go there! we kinda chose the wrong time though! we went during lunch hour and OMG, the place was flooded with people! we totally forgot to take that into account.
you'll be immediately attracted by yomenya goemon by the colourful display of their pastas! you might just miss it if you rush up the escalator cos it's right at the corner, but hey, good things shouldnt be bypassed just like that! haha. this place specialises in japanese spaghetti! when we went there, they had various lunch sets starting from $13.50 (if i remember correctly), which includes your choice of spaghetti, access to the salad bar and a bowl of soup.
i ordered the vongole rosso - tomato sauce. haha so rare to order a seafood pasta right. but i figured it'll be the most worth it :P haha auntie-syndrome omg. and it turned out to be a good choice! :) the noodles were cooked nicely al dente, and there was a rather generous quantity of fresh clams to enjoy.
debbie's dish was similar to mine! except that her's was seafood, so there were mussels and prawns in addition to the clams. yumyum :)
and i loved the salad bar!!!!! :D :D hehe. it was so fun to pile my bowl with the different kinds of veggies (the tofu was absolutely delicious especially with the sesame sauce) and i spammed it with french dressing and sesame sauce. :)
