Pretty Nails! (:

I’ve always found it very difficult to paint my nails for some reason! i guess i’m just bad at it? :P maybe one day i’ll go for some manicure course to learn how to paint my nails nicely (: 

The tools used are very important too though! this time when i went to ntuc, i bought some stuff that helped to improve my nail-painting experience! :D although there is still much room for improvement, i felt that the new products really helped a lot! Some things to note, what i learnt from past experiences is that…

1. File and buff your nails before painting - it makes them smoother and allows the polish to go on more easily

2. Do not use polish that has been kept for a long time because it totally coagulates and becomes really difficult to spread on xP

these were the stuff i bought! all products are from sally hansen.

for the base coat, i got the HARD AS NAILS polish, which is supposed to strengthen your nails. no idea whether it works though :P but it’s always a good try. most importantly, remember to have a healthy intake of calcium to build up strong nails from within! :D

for the top coat, i got DRY KWIK, which really really dries up the polish in super speed! :O :O this product is awesome seriously! normally i have to wait super long (almost one hour) before the layers of polish dry completely, and in that period of time i’m completely incapacitated, if not i will definitely ruin the polish which i took so long to put on. with DRY KWIK, the nail colour supposedly dries in 1min, which i didn’t really dare to test out, but it definitely takes less than 5min which is good enough for me (:

finally, the last product i got was the MANICURE CLEAN-UP PEN which is another really useful tool! basically, you hold it like a pen, and when you make a mistake when painting your nails, you can use this corrector to remove the excess and get rid of the offending area of polish, without having to clean off the entire nail! (: i’m not really sure how it works, i think it’s just a sponge that absorbs the nail polish? not sure how many times it can be used either xP but it’s really easy to use and removes the mistakes cleanly which is good (: it also comes with 2 replacement tips!

yup, that’s all! tell me what your favourite nail polish brands are! :D i like L.A. Girl’s nail polish for the colours and because the brush is pretty easy to use (: i love O.P.I as well, but unfortunately that is way out of my budget ): if you know anywhere that sells more affordable, GENUINE versions of O.P.I nail polish, please share your knowledge by commenting! (: for your information, L.A. Girl’s nail polish costs about $9/bottle if i remember correctly, and can be bought from Watsons at 313@somerset. if you know of any other locations, please comment as well! (:
